1. Wedgwood Jasper Historic Teapot 2: The Icarus Teapot (Jasperware).
2. The form of the Portland blue jasper Icarus teapot has its origins in the early 19th century and features a central bas-relief of Daedalus instructing his son Icarus how to fly. Daedalus made wings of feathers and wax but despite his warning, Icarus flew too close to the sun, the wax melted and plunged to his death in what its now known as the Aegean sea.
3. The total length from the spout to the handle is 13.5 cm / height 9.8 cm (including the lid).
4. The design concept of Wedgwood's "Historical Teapot" series is to carefully select six of the most representative teapots from the various shapes of teapots produced between the 18th and 19th centuries, and shrink them down to make "miniature versions of historical teapots".
5. Wedgwood uses the world's exclusive jasper relief technology to produce historical pots with unique shapes.
6. This "Greek and Roman Mythology Dark Blue Historical Small Pot" has
a special color and is durable. The special dark blue color is specially
made and exquisite, making it a key collection of famous antique
collectors.
