7. Bone China adds animal ashes to the fired porcelain clay, and after
mixing the clay, it is made by high-temperature biscuit firing and
low-temperature glaze firing to improve the vitrification and light
transmittance of the porcelain. In the 18th century, in order to imitate
Chinese porcelain, the British inadvertently added animal ashes to
produce more transparent and bright porcelain, and after several
improvements it became the bone china we know now.
